Between a Truck and a Hard Place

When arriving last night at our motel in San Diego we were faced with a particularly difficult challenge - getting out the car.

Almost everybody here has huge monster trucks which meant the only viable space was this one - crammed in between one monster truck and a badly parked car. The spaces are not big enough for American cars! I was considering lowering the convertible hood and climbing out...

As you can see - Em is employing some ballet skills to get something out of the glove box.

We're now heading out to see the aircraft carrier. It's about four miles away so we're going to walk. We neglected to tell anybody this at the motel to avoid the normal shock horror reactions...
